Phoenix Gold 18/0 Stainless Steel Forged Flatware 5-Piece Set - Sample

Great flatware at an incredibly affordable price, and much better than what's available in retail stores (believe me, I've shopped them all). If these were offered for retail in the right places, they'd fly off the shelves. I first saw this set while having dessert at a local café, and it was so impressive that I looked it up as soon as I got home. Things to note: In the café: The café’s flatware was a burnished gold (see photos), seemingly from so much handling, and felt sticky the entire time. That didn't stop me from wanting a set, though. Sample 5-piece flatware set (aka brand-new and out of the box): - Picks up fingerprints *immediately. Just looking at it causes fingerprints. - Handling any of the utensils feels static-y, like the act of touching causes static electricity. (This seems to have gone away a little bit over time.) - Has a mirror finish, which wasn't obvious in the café. (Not a bad thing, I originally just thought it was burnished gold/the lighting made it hard to see the actual color) - The balance and weight are great. - Washes up nicely. Since the metal is 18/0, it will pick up dings and scratches immediately, but I also didn't feel like that was noticeable or a problem while I was using the flatware in the café. Looking forward to buying more!
