    Nice look and quality, but painted wood handle not designed for long term use in a restaurant. Despite handwashing them carefully and keeping water away from handle, paint started peeling and wood started wearing off after just a few uses.

If handwashing, do not use abrasive sponges, pads, or soaps to avoid unnecessary scratching. Wash and dry knives separately from other flatware. If your steak knives are dishwasher safe, wash them separately from spoons and forks, and do not use any harsh chemicals. Blades should face upwards to protect them from corrosion. The best method for storing and drying your steak knives is to hand-dry them with a clean, dry cloth.
